Why do you feel this way and do you have any other comments?

There is inadequate space for parking on the street as it is. Without increasing the number of homes in this road. There is an area of grass that’s not used near 107/109 Chestnut Avenue. Maybe this could be turned into parking spaces. We are already in a parking permit area. And Devon County Council already allow 2 cars per house. And a lot of Chestnut Avenue has space only on one side of road to park. It would be good if Devon County Council could make sure houses that have driveways or designated parking spaces use them. And don’t issue permits to houses with driveways or such parking spaces like in behind Silver Birch Close. Or in Magnolia Avenue. It’s a nightmare here to park as Devon County Council say you can have a disabled parking space but will likely take over a year to put parking marking down if not longer as not a priority. In the meantime my disabled partner has to park a long way away and struggle in pain. Because others with 2cars/large vans park as close to their house. And others don’t park responsibly so taking up 2spaces for 1 car. Then after 5 pm or weekends anyone can park so if your last one back you might have to park 20-30 houses away. Lots of people don’t bother to use visitor permits when they have visitors. Some houses have driveways behind house. But just park anywhere even on double yellow lines at only turning space. Maybe no permits for people with driveways. And only one permit per house. Or proper marked parking bays for the original homes starting with disabled people nearest to their houses.
