This is a suitable site for redevelopment because at the moment it is an under-utilized piece of land. I have never seen cars going into or out of these garages; rather, they are used for storage, if at all. I would only ask two things: 1. That the public still retain access to the path going between Lower Wear Road and Bridge Road. 2. That a bus stop be installed on Bridge Road on the side going into Exeter by the George playing fields, to facilitate the use of public transport by the new residents.

The public right of way should be maintained and the housing should be attractive, designed sensitively with the surrounding residents in mind.

Parking is at a premium in Exeter and the removal of this large number of what appear to be garages will make the situation even more difficult, so I do not support the proposal
