This proposal contains a known archaeological site, recorded on the Devon Historic Environment Records, and also has high potential for further archaeological evidence to be found. Development should be informed by pre-determination assessment and evaluation, and accompanied by a programme of archaeological mitigation.

Not that my comments will make any difference, as work appears to have already started! More housing in this area is a very bad idea and should not go ahead. The excessive recent housing developments in the adjacent area have already had a negative impact with increased road congestion and flooding in the surrounding area due to poor and inadequate roads and public transport infrastructure, and the additional demand on an out of date and under invested drainage and sewage system. Given the density of housing already in this area and, more public open space is needed and where are the allotments - great for peoples health and wellbeing?!
